Healix InfusionTherapy, LLC is currently seeking a qualified Clinical Pharmacy Manager to join our team. This position will oversee onsite infusion pharmacies and will be responsible for the compounding, dispensing, and monitoring of medications for patient use at home or in the infusion center. They will conduct clinical consultations frequently with physicians regarding drug therapy and interact daily with the office infusion center nursing staff to coordinate patients’ medication therapy plans. This opportunity is located in Dallas, TX.

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures, as Pharmacist-in Charge, that the pharmacy meets all state and
    federal laws and regulations. This is evidenced by successfully passing State Board of Pharmacy inspections (i.e., no warnings or deficiencies) and periodic audits.
  • Promptly and accurately receives, interprets, evaluates, prepares, and
    dispenses prescription drug orders. This is evidenced by patient satisfaction scores, QCRs, Billing Office discrepancies, record reviews and periodic audit scores.
  • Maintains the sterile products facility and compounding areas clean and in
    compliance with policy and procedure and USP 797 standards. This is evidenced by passing all certifications, viable air sampling and surface sampling from reports and audits.
  • Performs and supervises all compounding in strict adherence to USP 797
    guidelines and Healix policies and procedures. This is evidenced by observation and site audits and achievement of sterility and potency of all compounded products.
  • Provides to the patient or patient’s agent accurate and meaningful verbal
    and written drug and/or device information. This is evidenced by audit scores and chart reviews (teaching checklist, patient interviews, progress notes, initial pharmacist assessment, etc.).

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

Minimum 2 years of Clinical Pharmacy Experience

IV Infusion Experience preferred

Infectious Disease or Home Infusion background preferred

Excellent Computer Skills

CLINICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Clinical and Pharmacokinetic Dose Monitoring

Sterile Products Preparation and Dispensing

Ability to provide physicians with clinical recommendations and dose adjustments

Patient and or caregiver counseling regarding therapy plans

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Assigned State Board Pharmacy License

ACPE Sterile Products Certification when required by law
