Healix Infusion Care is seeking a Front Desk Reception to join our team in O’Fallon, Mo!

Job Title: Front Desk Reception

Location: O’Fallon, Ellisville or Brentwood, MO

Travel: May work at multiple centers as needed, to support regional operations

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service via the phone and face to face patient and caregiver interaction.
  • Answers phone and relays patient request and questions to clinical staff.
  • Access referral/order information from community physicians via fax or email, contact patients to confirm location of services, and input patient and order data into our proprietary EHR.
  • Scan and file patient consents and other information into patient records.
  • Coordinate specialty pharmacy networks drug or free drug ordering including patient scheduling and inventory management under the direction of site clinical staff.
  • Handle collection of payment at time of service
  • Calls patients prior to appointment date to confirm appointment and time; update insurance information and communicate patient financial responsibility to the patient and all applicable staff.
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, as necessary, across multiple centers.
  • Contacts patient post-treatment to check on their status.
  • Assist patients with billing questions.
  • Facilitates closed-loop communication of patient treatments status and next scheduled appointment to referring provider.
  • Receive, stock, manage inventory, and order supplies and medications, as requested Organize workflow and monitor for completion of assigned daily and weekly tasks.
  • Performs Quality Assurance (QA) activities: check temperature of refrigerator; clean and stock nourishment bar(s) for patient refreshments; general cleaning of center including infusion chairs, restocking, clean med room.
  • Support community activities, assist with sales and event planning, support sales and marketing needs, as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 1 year experience in a medical office setting
  • 1-year electronic medical records experience, preferred
  • 1 year infusion experience or other specialty surgery scheduling for multiple sites or providers, preferred
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and well under pressure
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Great problem-solving skills
