Healix Infusion Care is seeking a Front Desk Representative to assist patients to work alongside our nursing and market teams in an Ambulatory Infusion Center setting in St. Louis, MO.

Job Title: Front Desk Representative

Location: St. Louis Region

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30- 4:00 pm

Travel: Limited – some travel between locations may be necessary

We are seeking candidates who will be committed to their work and are looking for a place to call home!

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and caregivers, welcome them for their services, and accompany them to the patient treatment area. Provide comfort amenities such as refreshments, blankets, or games.
  • Provide excellent customer service via the phone and face to face patient and caregivers
  • Receive phone calls from patients or caregivers, respond to inquiries, and, as necessary, relay patient requests and questions to clinical staff or management.
  • Contact patients before their appointment to confirm their appointment and time, update insurance information, provide information or seek permission to contact patient assistance services on their behalf, and relay any copay/coinsurance due upon arrival.
  • Communicate patient financial responsibility to the patient and all applicable staff.
  • Assist with the collection of patient payments.
  • Assist patients with billing questions
  • Scan and file patient consents and other information into patient records.
  • Coordinate specialty pharmacy networks drug or free drug ordering including patient scheduling and inventory management under the direction of site clinical staff.
  • Prepare lab requisition form for clinical staff to complete lab selection, if requested
  • Receive, stock, manage inventory, and order supplies and medications, as requested.
  • Performs Quality Assurance (QA) activities: check temperature of refrigerator; clean and stock refrigerator for patient refreshments; general cleaning of center including infusion chairs.
  • Gather community resources, as requested.
  • Support sales and marketing activities, as requested, including participating in regional events such as charity walks or networking events, as available
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • One year of experience in a medical office setting with front office duties is preferred.
  • In lieu of prior medical office experience, candidates with one to two years’ experience in a customer service role will be considered.
  • Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills, are required
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in an office-based setting.
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations preferred.
  • CPR or BLS certified, preferred. If not certified, company will require certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Microsoft Office, EMR, and other medical software experience preferred.
