The SEO Analyst – Technical Support Engineer plays a critical role in delivering expert technical support for ICIMS Career Sites and CXM customers by specializing in search engine optimization topics that impact Career Site discoverability and job visibility. This role operates within Technical Support and focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving SEO-related concerns rooted in platform behavior, configuration, and supported best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical and consultative support to customers regarding ICIMS Career Sites and CXM, with specialization in SEO-related topics.
- Troubleshoot SEO-related concerns affecting crawlability and indexing, including site access for search engine crawlers, redirects, canonical behavior, duplicate URLs, and unintended page visibility.
- Investigate structured job data behavior impacting search engine interpretation and Google for Jobs eligibility, including validation, completeness, and consistency of job-related fields.
- Reproduce and isolate SEO-related defects or unexpected platform behavior, documenting findings to support escalation and resolution.
- Provide platform-specific guidance to customers on supported configurations and best practices related to indexability, job page accessibility, sitemap behavior, and related Career Site features.
- Support internal Technical Support Engineers by providing SEO-related triage guidance, repeatable troubleshooting approaches, and clear positioning aligned to Technical Support scope.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to surface recurring SEO-related patterns and confirm expected versus unintended platform behavior.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in a Technical Support, web support, or technical troubleshooting role, or demonstrated equivalent experience through internal progression.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, including crawlability, indexing concepts, and structured job data.
- Ability to troubleshoot web technologies such as URL behavior, redirects, and HTML/markup fundamentals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to customers.
- Proven ability to manage multiple customer cases while maintaining quality standards for accuracy, documentation, and follow-through.
Preferred
- Experience supporting SEO for high-volume, templated, or ATS-driven job sites.
- Experience validating structured data and troubleshooting job posting eligibility issues.
- Familiarity with SEO diagnostic approaches such as reviewing crawler access, page responses, and indexing signals in a support context.
- Customers receive accurate, consistent, and support-scoped guidance for Career Site SEO topics.
- Reduced repeat contact volume for common SEO-related themes through proactive troubleshooting and internal enablement.
