Job Description

A Senior Security Architect at IFS works with high-level architecture and design, for software and infrastructure included in IFS products. This work is focused on interpreting and analyzing functional and technical requirements to ensure Security by design is embedded in IFS software solutions. Security, Privacy and Compliance are key aspects of this work. A Senior Security Architect works in collaboration with others to ensure secure architectural design.


A Senior Security Architect at IFS learns and applies successful strategies, implements secure patterns and improvements to engineering methodologies and practices across the product portfolio. A Senior Security Architect actively engages with peers and team members to drive the spread of Security best practices and knowledge throughout the IFS community.


In addition, a Senior Security Architect at IFS continuously expands their Architecture, Security, Privacy and Compliance domain knowledge, which includes keeping up to date on industry trends.
Senior Security Architects at IFS will be few but are respected advisors to their Team lead, VP, SVP, CTO, or Directors of Software Engineering when it comes to being able to drive secure technical projects across teams and groups. They bring their knowledge and experience to bear and ensure a secure successful technical outcome whilst being aware of our heritage and only adopting new technologies when there is a need and in such a secure way of interoperation with our heritage technologies. At times individuals in these roles will be representing the whole company in key projects and as trusted advisors when it comes to evaluating potential acquisition targets.

As a Senior Security Architect, you are expected to:

  • Provide technical leadership for secure design and development of software & infrastructure meeting functional & non-functional requirements.
  • Use threat modeling to assess risks and attack surface of IFS Products.
  • Identify Security controls to address IFS Product threats.
  • Advise on implementation of Security patterns.
  • Advise on best Security practices.
  • Perform Security architecture reviews of IFS Products.
  • Ensure Security, Privacy and Compliance in software & infrastructure components developed using well-established Security/architectural principles.
  • Prepare design documentation, reports, and technical presentations.
  • Contribute to improvements in Security, Privacy and Compliance of IFS products & services.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • 7+ years of experience with a track record in working with Enterprise Grade Applications.
  • Ability to envision the big picture and work on details.
  • Have strong secure software & infrastructure architectural, technical design and programming skills.
  • Sound Security knowledge in C#, Java, JEE technologies, iOS, Android, REST APIs, Azure, K8s and containerization.
  • Sound OWASP Top 10 knowledge (Web, Mobile, K8s).
  • Sound knowledge of Security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies (e.g., ISO 27001).
  • Experience in Azure and cloud services Security.
  • A natural desire to discover and learn new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and multi-tasking skills along with an innovative mindset.
  • CSSLP certification.
  • Azure Security certification (AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies).
  • Desired: CISPP, CISA, CRISC, OSSINT knowledge, software development background, TOGAF.
