Job Description

The Success Expert Delivery is an organization at IFS that is responsible for creating and executing new ways of support and services for IFS customers. The IFS Success Menu Card Services help our customers and partners to design, implement, adopt, run, and extend IFS-centric solution landscapes successfully and allow our customers to achieve their anticipated value from IFS software usage. The Success Expert Delivery team will consist of elite experts, who have specialized skills to guide and advise our customers and partners.

The Software Engineer’s role is to analyze, provide advisory services, and assure quality in the customized software included in the IFS Product Family, services, and/or other solutions. The primary expectation of the job role would be to be a part of a global team providing services to IFS's success engagement offerings.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be expected to:

• Be an integral part of a Global team providing services to our premium engagement offerings
• Consult IFS Customers as a Technical Expert through direct Customer engagement
• Create custom configurations, reports, lobbies, and workflows on IFS Products based on Customer requirements (Extensibility)
• Involved in providing advisory expert services such as,
  • Code assessment, code writing, and configuration best practices
  • IFS Cloud update - modifications' impact analysis and compatibility best practices
  • IFS Cloud - Bug analysis and Build & Delivery advisory services
  • IFS Software reporting and integration advisory services
  • IFS Cloud - Test Data Management best practices
  • IFS Software upgrade best practices
• Involved in data management services such as data repair, data migrating, data maintenance, and data archiving
• Work as part of an expert team whilst ensuring good communication and engagement with requirement owners and other stakeholders.
• Deliver consistent quality on assignments, ensuring usability, maintainability, security, and performance while ensuring customer satisfaction and solution fit
• Make every effort possible to execute and complete assigned tasks within the constraints of time, scope, and budget
• Provide direction by mentoring and coaching others. Actively help peers to complete their tasks on time, and advise on design and coding choices.
• Provide technical trainings and workshops to peers and customers

Qualifications

Qualifications

• IFS Software development experience
• 3+ years or more of significant experience in Software Engineering with a proven track record of guiding and influencing others
• An academic background with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Equivalent training/work experience
• Proficiency in C# .Net and SQL
• Strong analytical skills and a technical mindset
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
• The ability to work with distributed global teams
• Fluent in English

Other requirements

• Knowledge of Engineering/architectural practices and principles
• Experience in Software Engineering and delivering consistent quality as a part of a project/operation team
• Experience in PL/SQL, Java/Java EE, JavaScript, CSS, Boomi, Kubernetes, GIT, JIRA, ServiceNow, DevOps Technologies, REST API, JSON, SOAP will be an added advantage
• Basic business application knowledge
