Job Description

We, the IFS ESG team, are looking for dynamic, experienced tech enthusiasts to join us as Software Architects to work on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) related developments. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with the entire suite of IFS Cloud offerings, with a primary focus on sustainability and ESG, in a new product area aimed at ESG disclosures and promoting sustainability across existing product areas. ESG, by its nature, is cross-functional, covering all areas of IFS Cloud, from HCM for social metrics to Supply Chain for transportation emissions, and Procurement for understanding suppliers, among many others.

A Software Architect at IFS works with high-level architecture and design for software included in IFS products. This work is focused on interpreting and analyzing functional and technical requirements to ensure fit-for-purpose and enterprise-grade software solutions. Key aspects of this work include business value, usability, scalability, high-availability, maintainability, security, and performance. A Software Architect works in collaboration with others to ensure robust and consistent architectural design.

A Software Architect at IFS learns and applies successful strategies, implements improvements to engineering methodologies and practices across the product portfolio. They actively engage with peers and team members to drive the spread of technical skills and knowledge throughout the IFS community. In addition, a Software Architect at IFS continuously expands their functional and technical domain knowledge, which includes keeping up to date on technical industry trends.

As a Software Architect you are expected to:

• Provide technical leadership for designing and developing software that meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure maintainability, security, and scalability in software components developed using well-established engineering/architectural principles.
• Reengineer software solutions in line with requirements in the roadmap.
• Conduct peer reviews and provide feedback ensuring quality standards.
• Engage with requirement owners and liaise with other stakeholders.
• Prepare design documentation, internal and external communication, discussions, and presentations.
• Continuously develop the design to maximize efficiency.
• Extend and enhance the design to support new and evolving product and service requirements.

Qualifications

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• 9+ years of experience with a track record of working with Enterprise Grade Applications.
• Ability to envision the big picture and work on details.
• Strong software architectural, technical design, and programming skills.
• Sound knowledge in .Net C#, Java, JEE technologies, REST APIs/Web services, and containerization.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure and cloud services.
• Dynamics 365 exposure will be an added advantage
• A natural desire to discover and learn new technologies and processes.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills along with an innovative mindset.
