Job Description

WorkWave is a field service management software that provides SaaS solutions for businesses in the service industry (HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical, Cleaning, Lawn & Landscape, Home Delivery, Logistics & Distribution). We empower these businesses to deliver exceptional customer experiences and grow their customer base on our efficient and easy-to-use platform.

WorkWave Team is looking for a TechOps Engineer to join our Technology Operations team who understand patch management remediation. Those in this position will join a team that is responsible for patching multiple environments which can include:

• Windows Virtual and Physical Servers
• Microsoft SQL Server
• MySQL & Aurora RDS Instances
• Debian (Ubuntu) Linux
• VMware vSphere Hypervisors
• VMware vCenter Server
• Firewalls
• Firmware updates for physical servers
• Firmware updates for switches

Responsibilities:

• Conduct security and system updates as scheduled in order to maintain compliance and best practices
• Accountable for the successful patching process including verification and troubleshooting, communication, and escalation if necessary
• Document patches applicable to the environment and track remediation
• Aggregate patching status/progress for reporting and visibility purposes
• Improve existing procedures including patch evaluation, security ranking, risk analysis, follow-up, and issue remediation

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role
• Windows Administration
• Debian (Ubuntu) Administration
• VMware Administration
• Able to clearly communicate issues and status
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Bash and Powershell experience a plus
• AWS Administration (Systems Manager experience preferred) is a plus
