Job Description

IFS Service Management is the market leading service management solution, a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the 5th consecutive time. Our solution empowers our customers to deliver service excellence and optimize workforce efficiency, allowing them to embrace Service as a strong and profitable revenue stream.

We deliver solutions for every part of the service lifecycle, from product management, contracts, warranty and billing through mobile field service, customer engagement and self-service, and remote assistance. Our Service Management capabilities manage complex use cases and accelerate digital transformation goals.

In order to join the Service Management team as a Site Reliability Engineer, you need to have a good knowledge take the lead in developing, deploying and maintaining new and existing tooling/automation solutions to enable IFS to further drive the reliability and efficiency of its operation platforms. . This work is focused on ensuring that continuous integration, testing, and deployment is facilitated through the use of industry best-practices and tools.

As a Site Reliability Engineer in our Service Management team, you will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in programming, debugging, and SQL skills
  • Take ownership of functional/technical issues of customers’ and provide end-to-end resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Utilize technical expertise to develop innovative solutions and optimize product performance
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and be updated with the latest industry trends and advancements
  • Apply best engineering and architectural concepts
  • Ensure product performance and maintainability by adhering to IFS’ standards, guidelines, processes and tools
  • Support or execute the implementation of corrective actions from the problem management process.
  • Drive the maintenance and expansion of existing automations and related processes in the organization.
  • Create documentation, presentation, and training material
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders
  • Share knowledge, guide, and train colleagues
  • Contribute to activities related to market research and competitive analysis

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in software/system engineering is essential.

  • 1+ years of demonstrable enterprise level knowledge in
    • CICD Experience (GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, ADO, Jenkins, Bamboo)
    • Container orchestration (K8s, helm)
    • Infra as Code / Config. Mgmt (terraform, ansible)
    • Containerization (Docker)
    • Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, GoLang)
    • Working with cloud-based infrastructure in Azure (specifically AKS), AWS or GCP
    • Azure service administration and operations

  • Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and/or Postgres databases
  • Ability to work with internal subject matter experts to resolve security, performance, and usability issues.

  • Should be a good communicator, competent in effectively communicating with all technical and nontechnical teams.

  • Natural desire to discover and learn new technologies & processes. Proactively taking initiative & responsibility.

  • Should be a strong team player, self-driven & have experience working with a geographically dispersed team.

  • Willingness to accept challenges and show a high level of enthusiasm.

  • Quality assurance experience; Testing, Automation and Test data management skills (desirable)
