Job Description

As the Director Quality Assurance in our central team Quality & Support, you'll be a key player in shaping and driving our organization's overall quality strategy. While each product unit has its own QA resources, your role spans across all of R&D and all product groups, making it more strategic in nature. Your role will involve setting high standards, defining best practices, and establishing robust quality assurance processes across all teams in R&D. Your leadership will help ensure our products meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Quality Assurance: You will be involved in developing and implementing a quality strategy aligned with our organization's objectives. You'll be involved in defining standards, best practices, and processes to maintain consistency and excellence across all products.

  2. Resource Allocation: Manage resources such as tools, frameworks, and budgets for quality assurance activities across our R&D teams. This involves a close collaboration with involved teams to address specific needs. This will put your networking and project management skills to the test!

  3. Training and Development: Provide guidance and support to other QA leaders, software engineers quality assurance, and other product team members in R&D to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  4. Metrics and Reporting: You will be part of defining and monitoring key quality metrics, providing regular reports to senior management to ensure transparency and accountability in our quality assurance efforts. You will also help secure the necessary data sources for accurate analysis.

  5. Test Automation: Lead the development and execution of automated tests across all products, including various types such as unit, integration, UI, performance, and security tests. One of your priorities will be to help lead the teams to higher levels of test coverage aligned with company objectives.

  6. Research and Innovation: Stay up to date of industry trends and emerging technologies in quality assurance, especially in the area of AI. Drive innovation in QA practices to continuously enhance product quality and maintain our competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance leadership roles, preferably in a large global organization
  • Strong experience in test strategy and planning, team leadership, process improvement, test automation, and driving organizational transformation
  • Proficiency in AI technologies related to software testing and quality assurance, with demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and techniques to enhance testing processes and outcomes
