Job Description

As a Software Designer at IFS, you will design, develop, and maintain software included in IFS Cloud. The work is focused on interpreting and analyzing functional and technical requirements to create fit-for-purpose and enterprise-grade software. Business value for global customers, usability and solution consistency are key aspects in this work.

We are looking for a Software Designer to join one of our experienced teams distributed across Sri Lanka & the UK. All teams are self-organized and work according to agile principles based on SCRUM.

The work tasks will involve activities like:

• The ability to efficiently engage with requirement owners and other stakeholders while contributing to activities related to product / program management.
• Ability to work with low-code and/or simple scripting/macro languages.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills along with the ability of applying expertise & technology to achieve work objectives.
• Effective teamwork, and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• The ability to work in distributed Global team setup
• Involvement in quality assurance activities such as manual and automated testing, review and maintenance of existing solutions
• Create documentation, presentation and training material
• Share knowledge and guide and train colleagues

Qualifications

To be successful in the role we believe the following characteristics are valuable:

• BSc Degree in IT or Software Engineering
• Domain knowledge within low code (or no code) platforms
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software design/development
• Ability to drive solution design and work-focused both independently and in teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• The ability to contemplate the UX-aspect in the solution of a business problem
