Job Description

We in IFS Labs drive and accelerate the innovation and differentiation in IFS Products to deliver innovative solutions to the customers with the right technology at the right time in the ever-changing technological landscape

We are searching for dynamic and open-minded individuals to join us as Software Engineers to work with innovation and strategic research. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge trends and technologies such as AI, ML, XR, etc., Or explore established technologies and products and try to find new and out-of-the-box use cases.

A Labs project can span up to 6-12 months and most often the projects run individually or in small teams. Often, you’ll find yourself in cooperation with an IFS customer, partner, or IFS product group to work on joint innovation projects. These projects can be about projects that aim towards innovation on either the short-term or the mid-term horizon (1-3 years).

You are a Software Engineer who will work with innovation projects and tactical and strategic research, you will be working with new/existing/upcoming technologies to drive innovation into the IFS product portfolio.

Specifically, it will involve:

• Experimenting and working with innovation and emerging technologies
• Researching and prototyping to incorporate new technologies or existing technology in an innovative way into IFS
• Being involved in discussions with customers, partners, and other departments in IFS to define and refine use cases to productize new ideas
• Conducting demonstrations of new technology both internal and externally to IFS RnD
• Documenting the research findings/recommendations/usages including the technical setup and process
• Presenting and training on research/innovations to support smooth adoption by IFS product teams

Qualifications

Essential:

• University degree or equivalent professional qualifications in software engineering

Desirable:

• Passionate about the latest technologies and trends
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services
• Strong technical/programming skills
• The ability to translate technologies and trends in benefits for business
• Very independent and able to drive your own project
• Innovative and think out of the box
• Quick learner
• The ability to effectively collaborate with different stakeholders
• Strong communication skills
• Previous working experience with Enterprise grade software
• Previous working experience and knowledge of the IFS product portfolio will be an added advantage
