Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and decisive Manager Software Engineering / Senior Manager Software Engineering to join our team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In this role, you will guide and mentor a team of talented software engineers, driving innovation and excellence in our IFS technology solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers
• Develop and implement software architecture designs for IFS technology solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and deliverables
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment
• Implement and maintain best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation
• Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Manage resource allocation and prioritize projects to meet business objectives
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members
• Collaborate with senior management to align technology initiatives with business strategy

Qualifications

• University qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Proven ability in software engineering, including adequate time in a leadership role
• Strong programming skills in mainstream programming languages
• Expertise in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices
• In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies and project management tools
• Expertise with IFS technology or similar ERP systems
• Proven ability designing and implementing complex software architectures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
