We're on the lookout for an experienced Program Management Leader to join our Platform team.

In this role you will have the overall responsibility for realizing the intended value of approved investment cases within the allocated domain. He or she will oversee coordinated execution of multiple investments while managing the risks associated with the execution.

The Program Management Leader functions as the key link between Product Management, Customers and Software Engineering, ensuring that the product vision gets translated into a set of initiatives aimed at delivering the intended value, as per the IFS Development Process.

The Program Management Leader is responsible for the delivery of intended value on time, on budget, and with the right quality together with the Software Engineering leaders and Quality Assurance Leaders. The Program Management Leader would strive to achieve great customer adoption of the products delivered and high customer satisfaction.

The Program Management Leader will lead a Program Management team and works with all aspects of the development cycle alongside the Software Engineering leader; from scope definition and design, through to delivery to market and ongoing support. Depending on the scale of the operation he or she can be part of a development team during the life of the investment case or work across multiple teams. Coordination, sequencing, and prioritization within the set scope, as well as ensuring development is on track across investment areas would be part of his or her daily activities. Ensuring that the right amount of prioritized work comes in from the backlog.

The Program Management Leader will also be an evangelist who inspires colleagues, customers, and partners both internally and externally. This also includes explaining plans, demonstrating product capabilities, and presenting our vision, strategy, and roadmap. He or she continuously works to expand domain knowledge, pro-actively shares knowledge and experience, and guides others. Interacting and collaborating effectively across all parts of R&D and the wider organization is a must to succeed

Duties and Responsibilities

The Program Management Leader and his/her team will:

  • Work together with Product Managers, Software Architects and Software Engineering Leaders to coordinate and plan work in designing and building world-class products that deliver value to our customers
  • Analyse incoming business requirements and work with the team to create a high-level solution design, then come up with scope and delivery plan across multiple releases to get the best value for the investment
  • Coordinate with cross functional units and teams to get the work planned for IFS releases
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills in motivating teams towards the planned schedule
  • Evangelize our Products and showcase how customers would benefit from what we deliver
  • Be proactive, drive initiatives and take ownership
  • Plan, execute & monitor the progress of development work
  • Manage risks, issues & dependencies
  • Coordinating across RnD groups when required for planned initiative work
  • Manage customer escalations and handle communication

Qualifications

  • University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in a field relevant for the technical and/or functional area or responsibility along with 5-10 year's hands-on experience in a leadership role
  • Experience of agile development methodology
  • Has Excellent communication, presentation, strong decision making and negotiation skills.
  • Has very good coordination and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of one or more of our target industries and domain product/technology offerings as well as the business application processes for our target customers.
  • Experience from relevant industries and markets, and are used to interaction with customers and partners
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple competing priorities.
