Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Cloud Solution Engineer with a focus on network architecture and cloud infrastructure. As part of our growing Cloud Engineering team, you will work alongside other senior engineers to design, deploy, and manage network solutions that ensure scalability, reliability, and security in a cloud-first environment. You will also lead a team of engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to provide innovative solutions that meet the organization’s cloud network requirements.

Capability of working in a distributed team set up and operating in European time zone shift is required.

Key Responsibilities of a Network Solution Engineer:

  • Lead the design and implementation of network infrastructure within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, DevOps, and security teams to define requirements and deliver cloud-based network solutions.
  • Architect secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud network solutions leveraging cloud-native services (e.g., VPC, subnets, VPN, Load Balancers, etc.).
  • Perform capacity planning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of cloud network resources.
  • Develop and maintain network automation, monitoring, and management tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud network engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
  • Continuously assess and implement new technologies to enhance cloud network infrastructure.
  • Establish and enforce network security standards, including managing firewalls, VPNs, and access controls in the cloud environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud network technologies and industry best practices.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Design and implement network security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
  • Create and maintain detailed network diagrams that represent the network architecture, topology, and components.
  • Document network configurations, including IP address schemes, VLAN setups, routing protocols, and security settings.
  • Design and implement cloud-based networking solutions, such as connecting on-premise systems to public/private clouds or creating hybrid cloud networks.
  • Help select networking vendors and products, including hardware, software, and cloud services, ensuring they align with technical requirements and budget constraints.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts and ensuring that service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Networking, or related field.
  • A Master's degree in Network Engineering, Information Systems (optional but beneficial)
  • More than 5 year work experience as a networking engineer/designer or similar position
  • Advanced knowledge of network systems including Cisco, PaloAlto, and Azure Networking (Must)
  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Azure or other, Network+ (Must)
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud networking technologies (e.g., VPC, subnets, NACLs, VPN, DNS, routing, Load Balancers, etc.).
  • Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, or scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, can be helpful for automating network tasks and configuration (Must)
  • Experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions, integrating cloud services with on-premise networks, or implementing hybrid networking solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in cloud networking contexts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
  • Able to work in EU Shift.

Technical Skills

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise level network solutions
  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Excellent understanding and experience of administrating network devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls)
  • Azure network administration experience
  • Experience working with Cisco IOS and NX-OS software, Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure), and Cisco ISE (Identity Service Engine)
  • Experience working with firewalls (Cisco and PaloAlto)
  • Good knowledge in 2FA/MFA and PKI/certificate solutions
  • Expert knowledge on administrating DNS, DHCP and active directory
  • Very good industry experience with patching/upgrading network equipment and reviewing software vulnerabilities
  • Experience with Pal Alto firewalls, configuring and troubleshooting will be added advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work effectively individually or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with great interpersonal and consulting skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information with clients both internal and external (C-level to front-line employees)
  • Ability to research and apply knowledge effectively
  • Managing network infrastructure and implementation, including monitoring of network traffic and server optimization
