Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance, accounting, and business operations in a real-world corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Help with data entry and reconciliation of bank statements and ledgers
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Support invoice processing and payment tracking
  • Conduct financial analysis and help identify trends and variances
  • Assist in tax and audit preparation
  • Work with the finance team on ad-hoc tasks and projects

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
  • Specific Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations and financial compliance
  • Initial internship contract duration: 6 months
  • Possibility of extension for an additional 6 months based on performance

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and a dynamic personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed workflow and instructions
