Job Description

A Software Engineer - Unified Support is responsible for analysing and diagnosing problems reported by the customers and partners either in core or customized versions of IFS’s products. They possess sufficient knowledge on technical architecture as well as functional aspects of IFS’s products. They technically analyse reported issues and provide efficient resolutions that are usable, maintainable, and secure. They do this as per the IFS support offering. Furthermore, they maintain engagement with all applicable stakeholders while ensuring the successful completion of assignments. Additionally, they may also need to engage in maintaining cloud infrastructure for cloud hosted customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use established engineering/architectural practices and principles when providing resolutions

• Develop and gain necessary proficiency (on-the-job training) to fulfil assignments

• Develop fit-for-purpose resolutions and suggest alternative solutions for complex business scenarios

• Technically test, debug, review and maintain software while ensuring usability, maintainability, security and performance

• Deliver consistently good quality assignments based on IFS’s products quality standards (e.g. AQS)

• Provide timely updates to customer and all applicable stakeholders regarding the progress of a given assignment

• Ensure completion of assignments within the agreed time and scope constraints

The potential to work in a distributed global team set up on 24*7 roster-based work time, is also an expectation.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Knowledge in ASP.Net framework.
  • Conceptual knowledge in Object Orientated Programming such as Java.
  • Database programming knowledge such as Oracle SQL or PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge in web development technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Knowledge in Cloud and DevOps technologies such as MS Azure, GitLab, Terraform.
  • Good communication skills in English Language.
  • Previous working experience with Enterprise-grade software is a definite advantage. (Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply).
