Job Description
The Graphic Designer (GD) combines the creation of tactical graphical assets with project-managing tactical creative projects on behalf of the team. The GD helps the Brand Director to maintain and develop the graphical side of the IFS brand portfolio.
Duties and Accountabilities
- The GD is responsible for creating and developing graphics assets on behalf of the Creative Team. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Work closely with different stakeholders to create innovative designs and develop graphics such as brochures, whitepapers, ads, social media and more
- Maintain templates for various marketing communication assets owned by the Creative team
- Maintain the IFS Brand Book mutually with the Brand Director
- Ensure client needs and creative goals are met
- Appreciate the company brand; ensure consistency across all creative work to brand guidelines
- Appreciate design and smart copy and recognize fresh approaches. This includes quality-checking the content of the assets produced to avoid spelling-mistakes and incorrect claims
- Analyze trends in the Creative sphere and make sure to be knowledgeable about new technology related to the graphical design field
- Actively develop the graphical skill set to stay in tune with this development
- Suggest developments in current design approach that better fit the IFS brand
- Project manage graphical projects to develop our look in said area. The GD goes beyond delivering assets (reactive work) to taking active ownership of IFS’s graphical portfolio (proactive work) in partnership with the rest of the team
- Manage multiple projects in a detailed and timely manner
- Make sure projects are tagged and reported correctly in Asana. This responsibility extends beyond keeping track of the projects assigned to the GD to also supporting colleagues when appropriate
- Work as part of a team with copywriters, photographers, printers, illustrators, designers, web developers and marketing clients. On occasions, the GD may also lead such a team for the duration of a specific project
- Represent the Brand/Creative team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Present designs and rationale to stakeholders/the project teams
- Work close to internal stakeholders on high-priority projects that need senior attention, such as board presentation
- Regular communication with, and limited management of, agencies
- Act as a role model for the brand team
Qualifications
Needed:
- Proven History working with design of high quality
- Project management knowledge
- Solid Adobe Creative Suite expertise
- AI knowledge in visual design
- Speak and write English fluently
- History of working within a branded framework
- Portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a visual piece
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Extrovert in communications
Preferred:
- Knowledge of project management tools, such as Asana
- History working with After Effects and HTML5
- History in basic animation for banners, such as text appearing on screen
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PPT
- An intimate comprehension of design, copy and web best practices/guidelines
- Problem-solving skills and attention to details
- History working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to produce high caliber marketing materials
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent planning and organizational skills including the ability to meet deadlines and a sense of urgency in accomplishing goals
