Job Description

As part of the IFS Copperleaf R&D, we are building a next-generation Agentic AI Platform - an intelligent foundation that enables reasoning, orchestration, and automation across enterprise services. The Principal Platform Engineer will lead the modernization and evolution of our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments in an Azure cloud-native infrastructure. This role establishes the technical backbone upon which our AI platform operates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Own CI/CD strategy and automation pipelines (Azure DevOps) for multi-environment deployments.
• Drive modernization of existing systems to cloud-native microservice architectures.
• Apply cloud-native observability frameworks including logging, metrics, and alerting (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Collaborate across engineering teams to establish secure, automated deployment standards.
• Implement infrastructure governance, security policies, and cost optimization best practices.
• Enable platform scalability to support LLM-based agents, orchestration services, and future AI workloads.
• Mentor DevOps and software engineers, promoting infrastructure-as-code and DevOps maturity across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineering with a focus on Azure.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of containerization, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), and infrastructure security.
• Experience automating builds, releases, and deployments for microservices and AI workloads.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD-as-code patterns and GitOps principles.
• Familiarity with AI/MLOps pipelines or distributed service orchestration is an asset.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
