Test Automation Developer (m/f/d)

THE ROLE:
As part of the Quality Assurance department, you ensure the defined functionality and high stability of our IGEL products that our partners and customers can expect. In this context, the implementation of automated tests is becoming increasingly important alongside the execution of manual tests. Test automation increases the speed of product validation and supports development by quickly detecting errors at an early stage while conserving Quality Assurance resources.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acquire IGEL product knowledge and keep it up to date
- Design and development of pipelines (TeamCity and Jenkins where applicable).
- Provision of a framework for keyword-driven testing
- Contact person for the development departments
- Evaluation of test concepts and scenarios
- Implementation of, among other things, regression tests as automated tests
- Programming of test tools
- Analysis and evaluation of return values, error messages and logs
- Implementation and maintenance of interfaces to other QA systems
- Identify, record and document bugs thoroughly and follow up on the fixes
- Familiarize yourself with new topics and to design and implement new solutions as part of a team
- Grasp complex contexts and work out contents independently
- Participate in team meetings
- Participate in QA Kick-off meetings
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering or relevant professional experience with qualified technical training
- Minimum of 4-5 years professional experience
- Familiar with C and Python programming
- Familiar with the Linux command line and Bash scripting
- Good knowledge of TeamCity and Jenkins
- Experienced with object-oriented programming language, e.g. Groovy
- Knowledge of openQA
- Knowledge of Robot Framework (optional)
- Continuous Integration and Build & Release Management are known
- Familiar with common development tools (e.g. IDEs, GIT)
- You have a very high standard and experience on ensuring high quality code
