THE ROLE:
The Accounting team is responsible for producing timely, accurate, and reliable financial information. Prepares profit and loss, and balance sheet accounts, general ledger journals, accruals, and prepayments. Reconciles accounts. Manages and controls the fixed asset register.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exhibits advanced experience, using in-depth professional knowledge, acumen to solve daily accounting tasks by applying accounting principles and to develop standard operating procedures for internal use. Provides solutions to issues in effective ways. Understands the interrelationships of different ERP modules. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Ability to meet deadlines ( i.e. month end closing).

Accounting
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements of foreign subsidiaries
- Processing accounts receivable and payable and asset accounting for foreign companies
- Reconciliation of intercompany relationships
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Recording of invoices, accrual and provision postings and processing of payment transactions
- Preparatory activities for the annual audit and coordination with tax advisors and auditors
- Accounting, checking and posting of travel expenses
- Preparation of payments in banking tool
Payroll coordination and verification
- Provide all relevant data such as overtime, vacation days, extra payments, merits, allowances, changes in salary to payroll provider monthly
- Verification and approval of pay slips provided by payroll provider
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
- Accounting security according to HGB, knowledge of IFRS desirable
- Results-orientated and accountability
- Ability to work in a team and reliability
- Efficient communication skills
- High affinity for numbers and details
- Good English skills
