THE ROLE:
The Field CTO for EMEA Healthcare (m/f/d) is a senior technology leader operating at the intersection of customer strategy, market innovation, and product evolution.
As part of the Office of the CTO, this role extends beyond technical evangelism and sales support. You will actively shape IGEL’s innovation agenda by identifying emerging healthcare technology trends, validating new product capabilities, incubating innovation initiatives, and translating market demands into strategic roadmap inputs.

You will act as the bridge between the healthcare market and IGEL’s innovation engine.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic Healthcare Technology Leadership
- Serve as IGEL’s executive technical ambassador in the EMEA healthcare market.
- Advise CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and Digital Health leaders on secure endpoint strategies, clinical workspace modernization, and zero-trust architectures.
- Shape healthcare-specific go-to-market strategies in collaboration with Sales, Product, and Marketing.
- Position IGEL as a long-term digital transformation partner.
2. Innovation & Office of the CTO Contribution
As a member of the Office of the CTO, you will do:
Market-Driven Innovation
- Identifyemerging healthcare trends (AI at the edge, medical IoT, secure clinical mobility, VDI evolution, hybrid care environments).
- Assess competitive landscape shifts and disruptive technologies.
- Translate healthcare regulatory changes (GDPR, NIS2, digital health frameworks) into product innovation opportunities.
New Product Capability Identification
- Gather structured field intelligence from lighthouse healthcare customers.
- Define new healthcare-specific product requirements and solution extensions.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering tovalidateand prioritize roadmap items.
- Support beta programs andearly-adopterinitiatives.
Innovation Incubation
- Initiate and co-lead innovation pilots with strategic healthcare customers.
- Drive proof-of-value programs for new IGEL capabilities.
- Partner with technology alliances (cloud providers, VDI vendors, healthcare ISVs) to co-create new integrated solutions.
Strategic Advisory to CTO
- Provide regular market briefings to the CTO and executive team.
- Contribute to strategic innovation reviews and long-term architecture vision.
- Support technical M&A evaluation and partner ecosystem expansion when relevant.
3. Customer & Partner Influence
- Build trusted executive relationships across large healthcare systems and hospital networks.
- Lead strategic workshops,roadmap sessions, and architectural advisory engagements.
- Engage system integrators and healthcare-focused partners to amplify innovation adoption.
4. Thought Leadership & Industry Presence
- Represent IGEL at major healthcare and digital health conferences across EMEA.
- Publish thought leadership content on topics such as:
- Secure clinical workspaces
- Edge computing in healthcare
- AI-enabled endpoint strategies
- Sustainable endpoint modernization
- Position IGEL as an innovation leader in healthcare IT.
5. Internal Enablement & Collaboration
- Educate Sales and Pre-Sales on emerging healthcare innovation themes.
- Mentor technical teams in healthcare-specific solution positioning.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between Field, Product, Alliances, and Engineering.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- 10+ years in senior technical leadership roles (Field CTO, Chief Architect, Digital Health Leader).
- Deepexpertisein healthcare IT environments (EHR/EMR, clinical workflows, imaging, telemedicine, endpointsecurity).
- Demonstrated experience influencing product strategy orparticipatingin innovation programs.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage at board/C-level.
- Experience leading complex transformation or modernization initiatives.
Preferred
- Experience with digital workspace technologies (VDI/DaaS, secure endpoint OS, UEM).
- Familiarity with AI/ML use cases in healthcare environments.
- Strong network withinEMEAhealthcare ecosystem.
- Experienceparticipatingin innovation labs, incubators, or product advisory boards.
