IMA Medical Group is looking to hire a Full-Time Medical Records Specialist This position offers competitive pay based on experience.

The Medical Records Specialist is responsible for managing patient health files in a facility.

Responsibilities and Duties – Medical Records Specialist

• Ensure that all patients and coworkers are treated with professionalism, courtesy and compassion.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Process request and communicates via telephone, email and faxes in a timely manner.
• Validates requests and authorizations for release of medical information.
• Performs quality checks on all work to assure accuracy of the release, confidentiality, and proper invoicing.
• Accurately and efficiently process data input, retrieval of data and all other tasks associated with release of information services and time reporting.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School or equivalent
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Experience - (ECW Eclinical Works): 1 year (Preferred).
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Required language: English & Spanish.
• Excellent communication both verbal and written.
