We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and ensure the accurate and timely completion of the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of corporate accounting practices, and the ability to support and guide team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of accounting functions including, but not limited to, month-end close processes, lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, expense report management, allocations, and payroll accounting
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring that accounting records are closed each month by the published deadlines
• Review and oversee the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to ensure accuracy
• Perform data and financial analysis to provide insights and support decision-making processes
• Develop, maintain, and monitor internal controls within the department and the organization to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and stay informed about Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) publications that may impact accounting processes
• Develop and maintain department policies and procedures
• Manage and motivate a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure achievement of department goals and professional development
• Address and resolve questions or issues raised by team members, offering solutions and clarifications to facilitate smooth accounting processes
• Make informed decisions regarding accounting practices and procedures, demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Manage team performance and recruiting of open roles
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Master’s degree in accounting or MBA preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant corporate accounting experience, including a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an accounting environment
• Experience with ASC 842 preferred
