IMA Medical Group is seeking to hire a full-time Credentialing Specialist to process provider applications and communicate with providers regarding credentialing status. Including credentialing with contracted health plans. Ensuring that credentialing practices adhere to organizational standards and current industry trends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform the initial credentialing and re-credentialing functions for all IMA practitioners
• Maintain timely and accurate data entry and periodically revise practitioner data in the credentialing database; maintain practitioner paper and electronic data files for practitioners; use the CAQH system to submit practitioner data as required by some client health plans to credential individual practitioners.
• Strong knowledge of data systems including but not limited to CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, FLMMIS, and FL Board of Medicine.
• Enroll practitioners with all health plans that IMA is contracted with; monitor and report on each practitioner's progress.
• Ensure all practitioners' malpractice insurance is up-to-date and active.
• Monitor expiring licensure, board and professional certifications, and other expirable documents with practitioners within the prescribed time frames outlined in the policies and procedures. Assist practitioners with timely renewal and escalate to manager and field management as appropriate.
• Conduct sanctions and compliance monitoring and immediately alert Management of any undisclosed negative findings.
• Assist practitioners with obtaining new state licenses in areas identified by the clinical management team; monitor and report each practitioner's progress.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, including timely delivery of completed work and use of resources.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve extraordinary information, discrepancies, time gaps, and other idiosyncrasies that could adversely impact the ability to credential and enroll practitioners and ultimately bill and obtain reimbursement for services rendered; discover and convey problems to the Manager.
• Manage and coordinate all AHCA background checks and any AHCA-required registration.
• Process and maintain up-to-date Practitioners' Medicare and Medicaid credentialing.
• Ensure all new practitioners' EMR and Prescribing license is properly set up.
• Maintain the Designation of ACN clinics as well to assist ACN-designated physicians in transferring their licenses.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration preferred
• 3-5 Years of credentialing experience in healthcare
• Certified by NAMS (National Association of Medical Staff) highly desirable
• Computer skills required
