Production Database Support/Linux OS and related attributes are described below all requiring hands-on working experience in production support of SQL/SQL server databases in a 24x7 environment:

• Able to quickly digest and resolve production related performance issues.
• Tune all SQL Server instance components using tools such as Database Tuning Profiler.
• Experience in Linux system administration (Command line interface)
• Experience in database installation, upgrade, uninstallation (Accelerator)
• Experience in database SQL tracing, database service bounce.
• Experience in taking backup and restore of database.
• Good to have knowledge on Dbveaver, Mobaxterm, putty, SQL developer and SSMS studio.
• Experience in working with the product/engineering team for product releases.
• Experience in database administration.
• Linux bash scripting.
• Able to provide 24x7 on-call rotational duty and weekends.

Non-Production Database Support and related attributes are described below. These Database environments include Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Support, Data Conversion, and various other internal groups.

• Support multiple application and support teams with numerous on-going projects.
• Provide DBA services to application development teams, including performance related issues.
• Be instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of SQL/SQL server database and database related tools.

• Performs assessments and listens to internal customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 5+ years with hands-on experience as an SQL Database Administrator supporting both Production and Non-production environments.
• 3+ years of DBA experience working directly with SQL versions 12 and above.
• Good to have 2+ years hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration versions 2012
• Must have strong hands-on experience in coding, debugging and tuning SQL PL/SQL and SQL.
• Database tool experience in SQL developer, putty, Mobaxterm, DBeaver.
• 3+ years of experience in Linux administration

Desired experience in these areas:

• • SQL Streams or Advanced Queuing
  • SQL Application Express coding
  • MS SQL Server Databases
  • Linux System Administration.
  • Installation, setup and tuning of Linux running SQL.
  • PowerShell scripting
  • SQL linux administration experience
  • SQL instance configuration (memory, security, optimizer, etc)
  • Maintain SQL security using tcps and encryption.
  • Monitoring activities including verifying database operations status including tablespace, alert logs.
