Job Description

The Director, Digital Media oversees all paid digital strategy and execution at insightsoftware, managing a talented team that includes paid media specialists responsible for paid media strategy and execution. Reporting to the VP, Digital Marketing, this role drives comprehensive paid media initiatives to achieve business growth objectives. The Director owns the relationship and strategic direction with outside agencies, media partners and platforms.

In this role, the Director, Digital Media will:

  • Own, develop, and evolve our paid digital media strategy to achieve our campaign, department, and organizational MQL, Pipeline, and bookings across 3 Business Unit portfolios of products.
  • Oversee paid media marketing operations, budget management, campaign parameters, creative, and reporting.
  • Own the relationship and strategic direction with external media agencies and paid platforms (e.g., Google, LinkedIn).
  • Manage a team of diverse, experienced digital media and marketing professionals.
  • Apply your performance mindset to improve and innovate current processes and paid media SLAs to drive efficiency.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics, delivering insights to stakeholders and supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) using Google Analytics and multi-attribution tools.
  • Direct paid media account migrations and restructuring related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Direct strategic recommendations for messaging, audience targeting, and campaign tactics.
  • Direct digital marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Research and own channel expansion opportunities.
  • Oversee A/B testing strategies to optimize digital campaigns.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Manage budgets effectively to maximize ROI on digital marketing spend

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 10-15 years' experience as a digital marketing professional managing paid media in B2B marketing, particularly for software/technology businesses.
  • Extensive experience in paid digital media strategy and execution focus on Google Ads, paid social, PPL, ABM, programmatic and more.
  • 5+ years leading a digital media teams across specialities.
  • Expertise in campaign analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Confidence and experience collaborating with senior leadership in product, sales, and marketing to align digital media strategies with business goals.

Preferred:

  • Agency Experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics,
  • Experience working with start-ups or high-growth/PE-backed companies.
  • Project management experience across platforms like Wrike, Asana, Trello, Monday, Basecamp, etc.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills, and experience working in Tableau, Power BI, and Google Data Studio.
