About the Role
insightsoftware is seeking a Senior Director, Brand to lead our brand strategy and execution across our corporate brand and four business units. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the VP, Corporate Marketing, designed for an experienced brand professional who thrives on hands-on strategic work rather than people management.
You'll be the architect of our brand evolution, working at the intersection of strategy and execution to ensure our brand delivers measurable business impact. This role requires someone who can navigate complex organizational structures, influence without authority, and drive brand consistency while enabling business unit flexibility.

What You'll Do
Strategic Brand Leadership
- Develop and evolve comprehensive brand strategy that unifies our corporate identity while supporting distinct business unit needs
- Lead brand architecture initiatives to optimize portfolio structure and maximize market impact
- Partner with executive leadership to align brand strategy with business objectives and growth initiatives
- Drive brand positioning that differentiates insightsoftware in the competitive financial software landscape
- Establish and maintain brand governance frameworks that balance consistency with agility
Cross-Functional Orchestration
- Collaborate with leaders across four business units to ensure brand alignment
- Partner with digital, growth marketing, partner marketing, product marketing, content, and creative teams to activate brand strategy
- Work closely with M&A team to assess and integrate acquired company brands into our portfolio
- Interface with sales and partner enablement to ensure brand messaging translates to customer conversations
- Coordinate with Customer and Partner Success to align brand promise with customer and partner experience
- Partner with legal team to manage trademark portfolio, including new registrations and ongoing brand protection
Hands-On Execution
- Oversee agency partnerships and external vendor relationships
- Direct creative development for major brand initiatives and campaigns
- Guide content team on brand voice and messaging consistency
- Maintain and evolve brand asset library, ensuring teams have access to current guidelines and resources
- Review and approve brand applications across all touchpoints
- Lead special projects that require deep brand expertise
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Track brand health metrics and report on brand equity growth
- Monitor competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation
- Translate complex financial software capabilities into compelling brand narratives
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 12-15+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 8 years focused on brand strategy
- Proven track record in both agency and in-house environments
- Deep experience with complex brand transformations, including major repositioning efforts
- Demonstrated success managing brand architecture for multi-product portfolios
- Experience navigating M&A brand integration and portfolio optimization
- Strong background in enterprise B2B software markets

Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of brand strategy methodologies and frameworks
- Proficiency with marketing technology platforms and analytics tools
- Experience with AI-powered marketing tools and emerging technologies
- Understanding of financial buyer personas, particularly Office of the CFO
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- Background in financial software, ERP, business intelligence, or adjacent enterprise B2B markets
- Experience with companies that have undergone significant brand portfolio evolution
- Background working with private equity-backed software companies
- Track record of building brand strategies that support both organic and inorganic growth
- Experience establishing brand centers of excellence or governance frameworks
