ROLE SUMMARY:

As part of the Finance team, the Senior Financial Controller will report directly to the local Finance Director and will be the main responsible of the Controlling department.

She/he will be the main responsible for the preparation of all the activities required during the month-end closures and for the budgeting/forecasting process.

The person will be in charge to ensure that all the tasks are prepared in a timely manner and consistently with the Group expectations.

IFRS knowledge and capacity of business analysis is strongly recommended.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for a cluster of schools of the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Reviewing the management accounts of all the Italian entities, with a strong understanding about the financial performance, in terms of deviation compared to the budget/ forecast, with the aim to identify and suggest any decisions or actions
• Preparation (and review) of the school budget/forecast, acting as a business partner
• Strong collaboration with the Administrative department in order to ensure the preparation of the Statutory Financial Statement in a timely manner
• Preparation and reviewing of the balance sheet reconciliation on a quarterly basis
  
  

In addition to the above, the candidate will be involved in the development of the following areas:

• Enrichment of internal control environment, preparing, and reviewing the main procedures and school processes affecting the entities
• Development of cross-department interactions (HR, Operations and School management), identifying solutions and implementing any actions to improve the current internal processes
• Supporting in the preparation of the business plan for the projects of expansion / enhancement
  
  

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics or business administration
• 3-4 years of experience in Big 4 Accountancy Practice
• 3-4 years as Finance Controller (or similar sole)
• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing
