ROLE SUMMARY:

This is an outstanding opportunity to join Inspired Education as Executive Head of Business Development for driving the Alternative Provision within Inspired Online schools. Reporting to the COO, the role will be responsible for further implementing and delivering the business development strategy for Alternative Provision in the UK.

The position is UK based and will involve some UK travel.

Salary: Up to £85k plus incentive

As part of the Inspired Online Senior Management team, you will be responsible for driving the development and delivering the implementation the strategic Alternative Provision (AP) direction. This will include:

  • Providing a medium-term plan for sustainable business growth
  • Partner effectively with all parts of the business to drive success.
  • Develop an organisation that will deliver long term success, through effective talent mapping, recruitment, team development and engagement.
  • Leading the Sales strategy and contributing to the Marketing vision for AP
  • Developing information, ideas, and research to drive the sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Implementing the most effective sales approaches for the business development and retention
  • Establishing sales forecasts based on business opportunities and monitoring forecasts, goals, and delivery.
  • Contribute to the Technology and Education direction for AP.
  • Ensuring delivery of sales targets in line with Company objectives and financial plans
  • Developing effective relationships at all levels with Local Authorities, Multi Academy Trusts, and Schools
  • Contributing towards the Development and implementation of the sales and account management roadmap,/plans and budgets
  • Identify and deliver business opportunities with LA’s, MATs, and Schools
  • Partner with the Bid manager and Education to drive the delivery against procurement frameworks.
  • Coordinate the Management of Sales performance and ensure sales team deliver financial objectives.
  • Creating and presenting regular performance data for the Leadership team
  • Team management –manage, motivate, and direct members of the B2B sales team.
  • Implementing and adhering to company policies and procedures

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Executive Head of Business Development will be a graduate, ideally with an MBA/MSc combined with proven business development experience in a fast growth technology led organisation or senior leadership in an education setting. A proven track record of achieving outstanding results in a highly competitive environment. Ideally, experience of a business development function where customer service has been paramount as well as understanding the requirements of LA’s / Local Government to enhance the customer experience. Experience of the education marketplace is not essential but desirable. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive results, motivate others and lead by example.

Specifically, you will have: –

  • business development experience in a growth environment with

evidence of delivering results

  • able to drive and manage a team, while having a personal revenue target
  • excellent commercial awareness
  • demonstrable success in identifying, nurturing and converting business leads and then providing outstanding customer service thereafter.
  • proven experience of developing successful relationships at all levels within LA’s /Local government
  • developed listening skills, with the ability to translate customer requirements into tangible service options.
  • strong analytical skills, with a good attention to detail, enabling a valuable contribution to decisions relating to the development of Inspired Online Schools offering in the marketplace.
  • highly aware of the technology space and how future trends can be incorporated into education.
  • a flexible, highly energetic approach and the ability to thrive in a business with a fast changing, collaborative, delivery culture.
  • confidence to communicate to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to form good relationships both internally and externally with respective customers and partners.
  • the ability to work independently where necessary but in a collaborative team environment where appropriate.
