ROLE SUMMARY:
The Northern Europe business unit covers the existing UK schools (Reddam House/ Fulham School), Belgium (St. John’s International) and Latvia (King’s College) operations whilst also incorporating the newly acquired Alpha UK business.
Therefore, an opportunity is now available for a Junior Accountant/Analyst to join the team and help support it during its next stage of development.
This position reports to the Head of Reporting and will be based in Inspired Education Head Office (Burlington Gardens). Initially, remote work is not permitted until the employee has gained a thorough understanding of and proficiency in the job.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements. Help with the consolidation of financial data from various departments. Collaborate with other teams and departments to exchange insights and data. Analyse financial data to identify trends and key performance indicators.
- Variance Analysis: Compare actual financial results to budgets and forecasts and help in investigating and explaining variance. Summarize and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Collaborate with the operational teams within the schools to create and update budgets and financial forecasts. Enter financial data into spreadsheets/ software and assist in preparing financial presentations.
- Software proficiency: Familiarize yourself with financial planning and analysis software. Improve skills in data manipulation and reporting.
- Data Management and Organization: Maintain well-organized financial records and databases. Ensure data is easily accessible for analysis and reporting.
- Capital Expenditure Analysis: Track capital expenditure progress against budget/reforecast, and ensure deliverables are met on time.
- KPI tracking: Monitor and track financial and operational KPIs.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as requested.
- Demonstrable experience in a previous accounting role (essential)
- Working towards an Accounting qualification
- JDE Experience (desirable) otherwise strong financial system experience.
- Highly skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with a deep understanding of Excel formulas.
- Ability to communicate professionally at all organizational levels.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate financial tasks.
- A proactive self-starter with a commitment to timeliness and accuracy.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong planning and prioritization abilities.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
- Experience in the industry is a plus but not mandatory.
