ROLE SUMMARY:

To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all sports administration (budgeting, tournaments, fixtures etc.) including but not limited to; aquatics in the main
• Meet and manage all safeguarding protocols and policies
• Coach at least one Reddam team – therein to plan, prepare and present engaging sessions
• Teach physical education / sports science
• Attend relevant Reddam sports tours as either the coach or manager
• Support the development of a Sports’ Department striving for best practice
• Serve the community
• Behave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behaviour, and standards of work
• Consistently evaluate, reflect on and develop their and our practice
• To undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Heads determine

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Appropriate educational experience
• 2+ years previous experience as a head of sport or a master in charge of a sport
• Level two first aid training
• Ability to connect effectively with children
• A thorough understanding of the role
• Ability to be a role model
• Ability to reflect on own practice
• Good planning, organising and reporting skills
• Good communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
• Good time management skills
• Good interpersonal skills and
• strong team orientation
• Appropriate right to work
