ROLE SUMMARY:
Kings College School Soto de ViƱuelas, in Madrid, are looking for a dedicated and experienced Primary English Language Support Teacher. This role is essential in helping children aged 5 to 11 years acquire and develop their English language skills, supporting them in their journey towards fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide targeted English language support to pupils across all primary year groups.
- Work with children who have little or no English, helping them build confidence in communication.
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons to support language acquisition and fluency.
- Collaborate with class teachers to integrate language support within the wider curriculum.
- Assess progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for pupils from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or TEFL qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of language acquisition strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Passion for supporting children in developing confidence and proficiency in English.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
