ROLE SUMMARY:
La Miranda International School, in Barcelona is currently looking for a Data Manager to work on a full time basis on a 6-month contract, starting beginning of April 2025. For this temporary post of Data Manager, you will play an integral role in synchronizing and managing data in ISAMS, across all active modules (Cover Manager, Extracurriculars, Grade Books, Parent Portal Manager, Registration Manager, Rewards & Conduct Manager, School Manager, Student Manager, School Directory (staff data), Student Registers, Timetabler Manager) and various key educational platforms such as CAT4, Inspired Group's Learning Management System, Managebac, Alexia, and Timetabler, amongst others.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Data Manager's responsibilities will include preparing and synchronizing the educational structure, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across all platforms. This will ensure proper management of users and roles, optimizing access and security, and providing training and technical support necessary to maximize staff's efficient use of the systems.
Their contribution will facilitate the generation of importable files for synchronizations and rosters. This will also include preparing importable files and synchronizing the MIS & LMS educational structure with Apple School Manager servers via SFTP, as well as updating academic schedules in coordination with the Heads of Department. In addition, preparing documentation and procedure manuals will ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout the school year.
You will closely with our IT Support Department and the Academic Heads of School.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Excellent level of English and working knowledge of Spanish.
- Proven experience managing school information systems such as iSAMS, Managebac, Alexia, and other related systems.
- Advanced skills in database management and data manipulation.
- Ability to work autonomously, in an organized manner, and with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of educational management platforms and report generation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- University degree or higher education in information systems/data management or any relevant IT field.
- Previous experience in the educational field and/or managing databases or SIMS.
