Job Description

The Project Manager I is responsible for leading small to medium-sized healthcare IT implementation projects, delivering radiology and cardiology imaging solutions that enable healthcare providers to improve patient care. This role coordinates cross-functional Professional Services resources, manages project deliverables and schedules, and serves as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the Project Manager I ensures successful on-time, on-budget delivery while building trusted client relationships and gaining expertise in healthcare IT project management within enterprise imaging environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project planning and execution for small to medium-sized implementations, coordinating Professional Services resources, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards while developing skills in complex healthcare IT project management.
  • Serve as primary client contact throughout project lifecycle, building trusted relationships through proactive communication, managing stakeholder expectations, and navigating issue resolution with support from senior team members to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Manage project financial performance by tracking budgets, monitoring resource allocation, and identifying potential risks to profitability, escalating concerns appropriately to deliver projects within approved financial parameters.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and risk logs, ensuring all stakeholders have accurate, timely information to support effective decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with implementation teams, technical resources, and internal departments to ensure seamless project coordination, escalating complex issues appropriately while developing expertise in healthcare IT workflows and medical imaging systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in project management, healthcare IT, or related roles
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Eligibility for PMP certification within 18 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications & Special Requirements

  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools (Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, Smartsheet)
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, medical imaging environments (PACS, RIS), or enterprise software implementations
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards (DICOM, HL7) and regulatory requirements (HIPAA)
  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification Travel Requirements
