Responsible for the growth of Verve card scheme through strategic partnerships with entities in Nigeria, Africa and the Rest of World. Strategic partners include global merchants, processors, switches, resellers, consultants/enablers, government & corporates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, engage, sign-up/execute agreements, and manage strategic partners.
  • Provide weekly reports on project(s) or engagement status for the existing strategic partnerships pipeline to the Team Lead, Strategic Partnerships.
  • Extend existing Verve products to new markets (Africa) and manage strategic market expansion initiatives.
  • Develop innovative products to deepen and grow the Verve scheme business.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide business support and guidance to project teams for onboarding and integration of strategic partners.
  • Follow up with prospective strategic partners or initiatives to aid proper tracking and reporting of ongoing engagements.
  • Support, research, and create strategies for rapid expansion of the Verve scheme.
  • Conduct market research required to designate entities as strategic partners.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including (but not limited to):

- Business Development

-Technology

-Marketing

-Finance

-Risk

-Legal

-Compliance

  • Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the Team Lead, Strategic Partnerships.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in a Business-related field.
  • MBA (added advantage).
  • French language proficiency (added advantage).

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3–6 years working experience.
  • At least 3 years experience in:
  • Corporate Banking
  • Electronic Banking
  • Transaction Banking
  • OR FinTech
  • Experience closing deals with corporates (added advantage).
  • Experience in Consulting or Telecoms (added advantage).
  • Experience in Pan-African business engagements (added advantage).
  • Experience in card issuance, acquiring, and payments projects (added advantage).
