What Does the BDR Do?

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you are the crucial bridge between our customers/prospects and the sales team. Your primary responsibility is to arrange meetings between the Sales team and potential customers/prospects to identify new business opportunities. You will manage a set of Mid-Market level current customers and prospects, aiming to discover new business, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities.

It means a lot of time contacting customers, hustling and chasing leads. But if you are prepared to put the hard work, in the pay offs are immense.

Working closely with the Sales team, you will:

  • Develop and deliver targeted messages to relevant people.
  • Set up meetings to explore business opportunities further.
  • Record all necessary information in the CRM system to ensure efficient follow-up by the sales teams.
  • Leverage marketing campaigns and activities to build relationships and guide customers along their buying journey.
  • Assess sales readiness of customers based on various data points.
