Position Overview:

We are looking for a technical Pre-Sales Consultant / Solutions Engineer located in France who has existing experience in consulting or technical selling of ITSM/ITAM/Enterprise Service Management. The Sales Engineer role as an ESM Specialist at Ivanti is a fantastic opportunity for a top candidate to join a global leader in IT systems and security management. The role involves communicating the value proposition of Ivanti's Enterprise Service Management solution to prospects and partners in France and helping out also in Italy and Spain. The SE will collaborate with Territory Managers to deliver compelling messages to executive and technology leaders. Top candidates will have excellent communication skills in French and English, experience in pre-sales, and knowledge of Service and Asset Management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with regional Account Managers and Sales Specialists from our French and EMEA South sales teams to identify and drive projects towards successful closing. The focus is on technical consulting and technical closure.

  • Single point of contact for involved technical and business stakeholders from customer/partner side with focus on Enterprise Management, Business Automation, Discovery, CMDB, Service and Asset Management aspects.

  • Scoping and analysis of customer requirements

  • Responsible for driving both business and technical conversations, addressed by our products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, etc.

  • Deliver effective product demonstrations to customers and prospects,

    if necessary tailored for their individual requirements

  • Preparing, conducting and summarizing technical Proof-of-Concept (PoC) or pilot installations of our solutions

  • Assist in preparing and answering RFIs/RFPs

  • Prepare and assist at public events like trade shows, partner events, roadshows, user-group meetings, including the ability to act as a speaker in front of a larger audience

  • Being a technical representative of our software solutions, able to communicate complex IT dependencies in simplifying, clear words

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in an ESM role

  • Ideally, you already have working experience in a presale role at a software vendor/distributor/reseller or experience in implementing comparable technical solutions as a professional services consultant for ESM/ITSM/ITAM already

  • French language and business fluent in English language is a must.

    Italian and/or Spanish language skills would be a nice addition.

  • Experience of creating and delivering presentations to large and diverse audience

  • Ability to create written documents in French and English to assist potential customers in preparing or summarizing activities within pre-sales projects

  • Team player with the ability to act as the focal point in identifying gaps and pulling in any other necessary resources to own and successfully drive pre-sales projects

  • Experience of working with:

    • Enterprise/Service/Asset Management

    • ITSM or ITAM certifications recommended, like ITIL Foundation, ITIL MP/SL/PM/Master

    • Networks, Operating Systems, Databases, Certificates, Email, and Systems Integrations

The ideal candidate will have an existing ESM/ITSM/ITAM background with strong customer interaction skills enabling you to build credibility and trust throughout complex sales cycles. You’ll need to be well organized, self-motivated and focused on results. This is a home-office based role, located in France, ideally working from the Paris/La Défense office several days a week.
