Lanas is hiring for a Business Analyst who will be the key link between our product and engineering teams, translating ambiguous business problems into clear, well-scoped requirements that developers can act on with confidence.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, Agile environment alongside product managers, engineers, QA, and business stakeholders.

Position

Requirements & Discovery

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical system requirements for software applications.
  • Write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation for both customer-facing and internal development teams".
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the development team on requirement clarifications.
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear functional requirements and acceptance criteria.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Engage with product managers and owners to support product vision, roadmap, and feature definition.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to surface requirements, surface risks, and align stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting your approach as needed.

Delivery & Validation

  • Collaborate with development and QA teams across the full product lifecycle, from inception to production.
  • Lead UAT coordination and sign-off for new features, including facilitating show-and-tell sessions with stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, surface blockers early, and keep stakeholders informed throughout delivery.
  • Support release planning and ensure features meet business objectives, technical standards, and quality expectations before go-live.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse product metrics, customer feedback, and usage data to recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to BA practice standards — documentation templates, estimation approaches, and definition of ready/done.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a product-led software or SaaS company.
  • Good understanding of software architecture, SaaS, APIs, databases and system integrations.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting technical diagrams, architecture designs, and data models.
  • Confident writing SQL queries to interrogate data and validate requirements independently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you adjust your language to your audience.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Able to balance competing business priorities with technical feasibility.
