Relevant du Directeur Finances, l’analyste financier principal est impliqué dans le processus de fin de mois, dans les prévisions financières, le budget et des analyses ad hoc.

En outre, l’analyste financier principal sera responsable de la gestion du module des projets dans notre ERP. Il doit coordonner directement avec les gestionnaires, directeurs et vice-présidents afin de déterminer leurs besoins.

Au besoin, l’analyste financier principal gère également la communication en temps opportun des renseignements sur les coûts financiers aux gestionnaires.

Rôles et responsabilités

• Fournir un support de haut niveau pour la préparation des rapports financiers de fin du mois tout en respectant les échéanciers.
• Apporter un soutien dans la préparation du budget annuel, les prévisions mensuelles, trimestrielles et le plan stratégique. Maintenir les outils d’analyse actuels et en créer de nouveaux afin de soutenir l’équipe de direction de l’organisation.
• Gestion du carnet de commandes sur une base mensuelle
• Gérer, monitorer et contrôler le module de gestion des projets.
• Créer des projets dans le module de gestion des projets, tout en reflétant les budgets par projet, et en coordination avec les différents gestionnaires responsable des projets.
• Fournir un soutien aux gestionnaires et directeurs dans l’analyse des projets et les rapports démontrant les variances des coûts réels vs coûts budgétés.
• Créer des catégories de coûts dans le module et collaborer avec le contrôleur financier afin de s’assurer de la conformité avec les besoins comptables.
• Assister l’équipe des finances dans les processus d’audit internes et externes au besoin.
• Fournir une assistance à haut niveau à l’équipe finance sur une variété de tâches.
• Préparer divers rapports ad hoc et autres tâches connexes.

Qualifications et expériences

• Diplôme universitaire en finances/comptabilité.
• Titre CPA un atout.
• Minimum de 5 ans expérience pertinente.
• Soucis du détail exceptionnel, tout en gardant une compréhension globale et une vue d’ensemble.
• Solides compétences analytiques.
• Aptitude à mener plusieurs tâches dans un environnement en évolution rapide.
• Être familier avec le fonctionnement dans l’organisation de la chaine d’approvisionnement, développement de produits, recherche, opérations et service à la clientèle.
• Solide connaissance d’Excel. Connaissance de création des rapports SQL est un atout.
• Connaissances et expérience avec les systèmes ERP. Microsoft Great Plains est un atout.
• Connaissances spécialisées avec des logiciels de budgétisation. PROPHIX est un atout.
• Connaissances et expérience dans la gestion des projets.
• Motivé, capable de travailler avec une supervision limitée.

Reporting to Director Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will be involved in supporting the month-end process to ensure accurate financial results, forecasting, budgeting and ad hoc analysis.

Moreover, the Senior Financial Analyst manages project accounting systems for purposes of cost analysis and must coordinate directly with managers, directors and VPs to determine their requirements.

When required, the Senior Financial Analyst also manages the timely reporting of financial cost information to the organization’s management team.

Roles and responsibilities

• Provide high level support for the preparation of the month-end financial reporting package and supporting schedules.
• Support with the preparation of the annual budgets, monthly and quarterly forecast & Strategic Planning. Create and maintain new and existing financial analytical tools that support the organization’s management team.
• Manage order book on a monthly basis
• Manage (monitor & control) the project accounting system requirements to other departments.

• Create projects within the project accounting system that accurately reflect the project plans as established with the various Project and Departmental Managers.
• Provide support to Departmental Managers & Directors as required when reviewing cost reports (Actual project costs versus Budgeted project costs).
• Create Cost Categories in the System and collaborate with the Controller to ensure that the set-up and coding of all cost categories are functionally compliant with the General Ledger format.

• Assist the finance team in internal and external audit processes when necessary.
• Provide high-level assistance to the finance team on a variety of tasks.
• Prepare various ad hoc reports and other tasks upon request

Qualifications and experience

• University degree in Finance/Accounting.
• CPA title is an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail while maintaining overall understanding of the big picture.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the workings of Supply Chain, Product Development, Research, Operations and Customer Support functions within an organization.
• Strong in Excel. Knowledge of SQL report creation is an asset.
• Experience interacting with multiple levels of management; both verbally and in writing; in English and French.
• Knowledge and experience in accounting system Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset.
• Knowledge and experience of budgeting software PROPHIX is an asset.
• Specialist knowledge and experience in project management.
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
