Customer Support – Email and DNS Specialist
Role Overview
The Customer Support – Email and DNS Specialist supports clients with email administration, domain management, and DNS updates. This role works directly with customers via both phone and email to troubleshoot issues, fulfill technical requests, and deliver a high-quality support experience.
This position primarily focuses on email support and DNS tasks, with responsibilities that may evolve based on business needs and team priorities. Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently assist customers in real time are critical to success in this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer support via phone and ticketing systems for email, DNS, and domain-related requests
- Troubleshoot issues in real time while guiding customers through solutions clearly and professionally
- Add, update, and remove DNS records
- Assist with website launches (DNS updates and website configuration)
- Set up, manage, and migrate email accounts
- Document processes, updates, and resolutions
- Collaborate with internal teams (IT, TechOps) for escalations and system updates
- Monitor systems and support ongoing maintenance and improvements
- Contribute to internal documentation, tools, and training resources
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a customer-facing or technical support role with direct customer interaction
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Understanding of email systems, domains, and DNS
- Solid organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and follow structured processes
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have:
- Experience with DNS or domain management
- Exposure to hosting or server-related support
- Familiarity with ticketing or CRM systems
