What you will do
- As an experienced DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in advancing the software and platform of Flashtalking’s customers and partners around the globe who utilize our ad serving, creative, and attribution offerings.
- By drawing on your strong problem-solving skills and passion for performance and stability, you will be embedded with development teams to collaborate to reduce the friction associated with software delivery, reliably delivery scalable software, and identify potential areas of improvement and/or technical debt.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with engineering managers and SREs on the design and deployment of cloud-based infrastructure
- Pair with developers on team initiatives and sprints
- Meaningfully participate in incident post-mortems and root cause analysis assessments
- Maintain a heightened attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and troubleshooting capability
- Participate in on-call rotation for applications, related infrastructure, and systems developed and maintained by development team you are assigned to
Who You Are
- 4+ years of experience with RHEL, RHEL-derivatives, Debian, or Debian-derivatives
- 4+ years of experience in a DevOps or DevOps-related role with a focus on the provisioning and troubleshooting of in-house applications (HTTP, REST API)
- 1 year of working knowledge in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC)
- Strong knowledge of Git and related version control platforms (Bitbucket, Github)
- Strong ability to troubleshoot/debug, optimize systems, and automate routine tasks
- Knowledge of Linux container technologies such as Docker or containerD
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems such as Jenkins
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux, shell scripting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment with changing priorities
- Experience with multiple automation/orchestration tools such as Chef, SaltStack, or Terraform
- Experience with container schedulers such as AWS EKS, Docker Compose, or Kubernetes
- Experience with RESTful services and scalable, load-balanced HTTP architecture
- Working knowledge of RDBMS, NoSQL, and Time Series databases
