The Senior Creative Developer II will be the senior developer within the Creative Services group helping other team members as needed. This person will bring extensive creative development experience specifically within the media and advertising space. Ideal candidates have a strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape with an emphasis on dynamic creative (display and video).
The Senior Creative Developer II will be responsible for picking up and completing complex development tasks that require the building of new, unique frameworks, follow development best practices, and implementing feed solutions (as needed). This role works hand in hand with Creative Producers and Client Success to scope, manage, and support client projects occasionally being brought into conversations in the pre-sales stages for their expertise and feedback on campaign ideas.
This position will also serve as the escalation resource for solutions, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for the wider creative services team. This role may also function as technical producers, where necessary and coordinate with Producers for the technical aspects of build requirements and feed requests.
What You Will Do:
- High level resource for development, troubleshooting, and creative development
- Creative project point of contact for development and creative solutions:
- Client facing scoping assistance and on-going project management
- Documentation of framework
- Issue investigation and resolution
- Day-to-day interaction with partner resources where technical/development solutions are required
- Ingest, review, and confirm development tasks for:
- Sufficient Instructions and documentation
- Adequate resources (imagery, video, fonts, layered assets)
- Sufficient time to execute.
- Complete full development of or modification of dynamic creative at all levels and frameworks as required by task details
- Functional QA and code review of self, junior creative engineer’s and client development resource’s code
- Version dynamic creative through CRM / Excel methods including the use of inline styles to adjust layouts where necessary
- Thought leader for advancements in creative tools, process, and wider advertising industry
- Partner with Solutions Engineers on proof of concept or app building to support larger initiatives
- Provide creative ticket support on complex issues requiring escalation and investigation as necessary
Who You Are:
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with internal and external teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Deep knowledge of campaign lifecycle from inception to trafficking of creative and live tags
- In depth understanding of ad serving technologies and how dynamic creative can be used
- In-depth understanding of dynamic, and feeds-based creative solutions and build process
- Experience in mobile web design / mobile advertising or rich media production
- Full/deep understanding of feeds and API structures
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and AfterEffects
- Full knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS including ES6 practices and data parsing
- Ability to translate client requirements and expectations into actionable items for designer and developers
- High attention to detail
- Experienced in project planning, timeline management, and task management
- Risk identification and management throughout projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills using available coding and ad serving environment solutions to resolve challenges and call out technical constraints and limitations as they apply to delivering in digital web/video/social mediums
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Design, Digital Art or other relevant major
- 6 or more years of direct, non-internship experience in the advertising industry working as a creative developer/engineer
- 2 or more years of leading design projects
- Experience with Flashtalking creative tools or ad server (Nice to have)
- Experience using Figma or Google Web Designer (Nice to have)
