Job Description:

Momentive Software is seeking a dynamic Solutions Engineer to join our workforce to help drive growth for our MIP Accounting software. In this role, you will be the bridge between technology and client success - bringing our product to life through engaging demonstrations, tailored solutions, and consultative expertise. You will partner closely with our account executives to understand client needs, showcase how MIP can solve their most pressing challenges, and highlight the measurable value it delivers. As a trusted technical advisor, you’ll provide hands-on training, guide prospects through the sales process, and translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

A Day in the Life

• Participate in discovery sessions with clients to uncover process pain, data flows, and reporting needs; translate into a clear solution approach.

• Deliver engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to client needs

• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and support new business opportunities

• Develop and implement customized solutions that align with client goals

• Respond to technical inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide follow-up support during the sales cycle

• Manage demo environments, including data setup, light configuration, and feature testing

• Provide technical training and guidance to prospective clients

• Contribute to RFP responses and address client-specific technical questions

• Maintain documentation of solutions, demos, and knowledge resource

• Partner with product management by sharing client feedback to influence product development

• Stay current on product features, competitor offerings, and industry trends to maintain expertise

• Other duties as assigned

We are looking for someone who brings

• 2– 4 years of experience in engineering, technical sales, project management, product development or related field

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field)

• Proficient in Office 365 - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to learn and effectively explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences while gaining experience in client interactions and product presentations

• Explain technical concepts clearly and engagingly for diverse audiences

• Serve as a liaison and continue representing the company to clients at all stages, while building trust and nurturing strong relationships with both client and internal teams

• Create effective and innovative solutions to meet client needs

• Conduct presentations and technical demonstrations with confidence

Nice to have

• Experience in video editing tools

• Experience using Consensus (or similar demo automation tool)

• Exposure to ERP or financial systems

• Understanding of SaaS sales motions

• Familiarity with any of these areas: Nonprofit Fund Accounting, Grants, Payroll, Human Resources, Budgeting, Procurement, AP Workflows, Fundraising, CRMs, Volunteering, Event Management
