As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our systems, networks, and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the information security team to implement, manage, and enhance information security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in the design and implementation of CIS server hardening standards to protect critical systems and data.
- Support ITIL processes related to information security, including incident management, change management, and problem management.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of ISO 27001-compliant information security management systems (ISMS).
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends, and assist in developing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Assist in conducting security assessments and audits, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security concepts are integrated into cloud and IT operations.
- Play a key role in the analysis and evaluation of security technologies and solutions.
- Contribute to the creation of security awareness and training materials for employees.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on CIS server hardening, ITIL processes, ISO 27001, and cloud security concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with information security standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles, such as AWS or Azure security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing security requirements.
- Understanding IT operations is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven work experience as an Information Security Engineer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, technologies, and industry standards.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, encryption, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and make effective recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and effectively communicate security issues.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
