We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Cape Town office.
POSITION SUMMARY:
MRI Software is seeking a Manager, IT Application Administration to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. This individual will be responsible for leading the daily functions of the IT App Admin team including application support, cloud engineering, managing client technical support and escalations, IT operations and general resourcing requirements
- Regional Leadership, and part of the Global Application Administration & IT Operations group. Engaging with various IT leaders, business functions & stakeholders, clients as well as Product Development groups to build and support complete solutions and implement new services
- Working with latest product and technology teams, partners and service providers and to create and support the range of MRI products and services
- Work to enhance MRI’s Cloud and App Admin capabilities and improve operational processes
- Ability to work at all levels of MRI and client organizations
- Able to perform duties on a shift/roster depending on requirements from business
- Ability to work overtime as and when required
Essential Functions Include:
- Build a high performing team through staff development, recruiting, and retention to support growing business needs
- Direct management responsibilities for in region IT team members. Work with the global IT leadership to ensure commonality of approach to recruitment, resource management and staff development
- Prioritize work tasks and projects to ensure business priorities are met
- Optimizing solutions to improve performance, function, or costs
- Ensure security is the cornerstone of the designs, services, and implementations
- Work with other MRI teams to jointly deliver projects as well as being able to work as individual to complete smaller tasks
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma and 5+ years of related experience preferred
- 5 years minimum experience of leading/managing a team of 5+ members
- Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft Azure, AWS and Private Cloud systems and services
- Good Documentation skills
- Collaborator with Problem Solving, ‘Can-do’ Mindset and a client centric focus
- Understanding of the SDLC, Software and Database Deployment Methods, and Application Security Scanning Tools a plus
- Experience with MS Office 365 and other business SaaS offerings a plus
- Familiar with pipeline deployments and automation tooling
- Managing medium to large teams across disparate locations
- Building and driving performance across complex teams
