The Disaster Recovery Technology Strategist (DRTA) is responsible for ensuring the organization is prepared to recover critical systems and data in the event of a disruption of service(s), both minor and catastrophic. This includes updating and transitioning disaster recovery processes and business continuity procedures. Leveraging your depth of technical knowledge for both on-premises and public infrastructure platforms, you will work closely with application and technical teams to mature the architecture, implementation, and testing of the overall disaster recovery strategy and procedures, embedding DR solution(s) into existing and new products. Additional responsibilities include maturing recovery best practices, preparing for and facilitating recovery exercises by creating detailed plans, training, and preparing executive summaries of the results. This is an opportunity to become an integral part of Netsmart's Best in Class Behavioral Healthcare Solution team deploying innovative, new Mobile, Web Service and Service Oriented Solutions for Netsmart's Next Generation Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead DR strategy across multiple platforms, including public and private cloud solutions

  • Lead risk assessments with business impact analysis to identify recovery vulnerabilities

  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new or modified recovery solutions

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate requirements and drive solution roadmaps

  • Assist in building business cases for recovery solutions aligned with overall business strategy

  • Facilitate DR plans and recovery procedures with cross functional teams

  • Facilitate DR testing and validation activities for critical systems

Requirements:

  • BS degree or relevant, equivalent experience

  • 3-7 years of combined technical experience in solution implementation/management and/or product development, Disaster Recovery is preferred

  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows Servers and Linux based systems

  • Broad understanding and experience with IaaS, PaaS and SaaS architectures

  • Experience with Enterprise Disaster Recovery methodologies and best practices

  • Solid process and roadmap background with ability to create and implement

  • Strong understanding of solution architectures and development with focus on recoverability

  • Strong understanding of Cloud Native applications and interfaces

  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving abilities

  • Highly self-motivated and directed

  • Ability to lead cross functional teams to a common goal

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in fast paced and high-pressure environments

  • History of client facing experience a plus
