Revenue Cycle Management Team Lead

We’re seeking a Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Team Lead to oversee a team of billing professionals supporting addiction treatment centers. In this role, you’ll serve as a key liaison between your team, leadership, and clients, ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and timely revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 6 associates to meet performance goals and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Monitor and manage key revenue cycle metrics including Days in A/R, A/R aging, denial rates, and credit balances.
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast staffing needs based on work volume and trends.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying performance gaps and implementing KPI improvement plans.
- Support reporting needs through Excel, including regular and ad hoc reports for internal and client-facing use.
- Ensure team productivity, quality, and compliance standards are consistently met.
- Promote a culture of accountability, adaptability, and client-first thinking in a rapidly evolving billing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, cash posting, and charge entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong understanding of the behavioral health or post-acute healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of medical billing compliance regulations and payer reimbursement methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing escalations and resolving complex client issues.
- Medical coding certification (e.g., Certified Professional Coder – CPC).
- Familiarity with revenue cycle KPIs and analytics.
- Proven people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and career development planning.
