Communications Specialist

Overview
The Communications Specialist will lead efforts to foster a connected, informed, and engaged workforce at Netsmart. This role is responsible for planning and executing associate engagement events, developing internal communications, and managing social media content that highlights Netsmart culture, programs, and initiatives. The ideal candidate brings creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for building an inclusive and engaging associate experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, promote, and execute internal events and programs that drive associate engagement, recognition, and connection across teams and departments.
- Partner with HR, Marketing, business leaders, and U.S. teams to ensure events and engagement efforts align with organizational goals and cultural priorities.
- Develop internal communications strategies, messages, and feedback mechanisms to improve associate awareness and measure program impact.
- Create and maintain reporting on event and program performance, tracking success metrics against defined goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with teams across the company—including Marketing—to update and maintain a quarterly social media content calendar and key message themes.
- Develop content that showcases Netsmart and EveryDayMatters, including links, videos, graphics, and images for internal and external channels.
- Track engagement metrics across communication and social media platforms and provide insights to enhance reach, relevance, and campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in associate engagement, internal communications, or social media management.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Experience planning and executing events, including logistics, promotion, and communication planning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms/tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
