About This Job

The Sr. Investment Consultant fosters and manages relationships with financial advisors to assist them in utilizing the Orion Wealth Management Proprietary solutions. Additionally, this position will drive sales for Orion Wealth Management solutions by working with the Orion’s sales teams across all channels (RIA & IBD) as a subject matter expert.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices: Omaha, NE, Berwyn, PA, Sacramento, CA, Hebron, KY, Chandler, AZ, Provo, UT, or Idaho Falls, ID.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • >50% Travel throughout the region to present to advisors and advisors’ clients.
  • Represents Orion and its products to advisors knowledgeably and effectively enabling advisors to clearly identify benefits of Orion’s proprietary products relative to its competitors.
  • Partners with Marketing in development of campaigns, newsletters, quarterly market reviews and sharing of ideas.
  • Partners with sales teams to identify new opportunities and maintain existing relationships with financial advisors, and prospective clients.
  • Serves as a key liaison and subject matter expert supporting our Orion Wealth Solutions. (Brinker Capital & Orion Fixed Income)

Skills Needed to Perform the Job

  • Extensive knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio management, manager research, capital markets, and financial planning.
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, enthusiastic and team player
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving and organizational skills.

Education Needed to Perform the Job

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
  • Series 7 & 66 (or 63 and 65) license required.
  • CFA or CFP preferred.

Experience Needed to Perform the Job

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the investment industry in a Sales, Portfolio Management, Investment Research, or related role required.
